Drugs, cash and firearms seized during Brighton search warrants

Police have charged three men following the discovery of drugs, cash and firearms during the execution of search warrants at two Brighton properties yesterday.

The search warrants followed an investigation by police from Fortitude Valley Station and Criminal Investigation Branch concerning drug supply in Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley.

During the search, police allegedly uncovered firearms, ammunition, and approximately $152,000 in cash and dangerous drugs, including cannabis and methamphetamine.

A 32-year-old Brighton man has been charged with one count each of trafficking in dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possess drug utensils, unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of ammunition.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today (December 24).

A 34-year-old Brighton man has been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing dangerous drugs, possess drug utensils and unlawful possession of ammunition.

He is scheduled to appear in the Sandgate Magistrates Court on January 11.

A 21-year-old Brighton man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possess drug utensils. He has been scheduled to appear in the Sandgate Magistrates Court on January 11.
