Investing in new facilities

As with all universities, 2020 has been a challenging year us as we manage the impact of coronavirus.

But we've continued to invest heavily in new facilities to further enhance our student experience, including the opening this academic year of the new Teaching and Learning Centre and the Maiden Castle Sports and Wellbeing Park.

New Colleges to open

The new academic year will see the opening of two new Colleges – a new home for John Snow College and the brand-new South College; both at Mount Oswald in Durham City.

Our new Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science building on the University's Upper Mountjoy site is also due to at the start of 2021.
