Flooded and closed roads

This is an EMERGENCY warning from City of Gold Coast. Major flooding will occur in the Albert and Logan catchments peaking Tuesday morning. The Albert and Logan Rivers are now expected to peak above 2017 levels by half a metre. Prepare and act accordingly. Do not enter flood waters. Continue to STAY INFORMED and MONITOR conditions at https://dashboard.cityofgoldcoast.com.au

While we always encourage people to shelter with friends and family, we currently have evacuation assembly points open all night at :

  • Ormeau Community Centre - 3 Cuthbert Dr, Ormeau
  • Reedy Creek Waste & Recycling Centre, 61 Hutchinson St, Burleigh Heads.

Domestic pets are permitted at evacuation assembly points.

Sandbagging stations are open 6am to 6pm today however PLEASE ONLY go there if it is safe to do so.
