To advance digital transformation and strengthen digital governance across the Arab region, ESCWA organized two capacity-building workshops.
On 14 and 15 July, ESCWA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Technology (MoCT) in Somalia, organized a workshop online on digital government policies and impact in the country. Discussions highlighted selected international and regional policy frameworks and examined their social and economic impacts, with the participation of representatives from public institutions responsible for developing and delivering digital services.
On 16 July, and in partnership with the Agency of Digital Development (ADD) in Morocco, ESCWA held a virtual workshop on the impact of digital and emerging technologies in development sectors, especially circular economy.
