Emergency services have responded to an explosion at a restaurant in the Darwin CBD tonight which has injured five people.
Shortly after 8pm the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre received a report of an explosion and fire inside the building at Austin Lane.
NT Police, Fire and Rescue Service and St John Ambulance attended the scene.
The building has been evacuated and investigations are underway into the cause of the explosion.
Five people have been treated at the scene and taken to hospital.
NT Worksafe has been notified and has begun its inquiries.
