Expressions of Interests open to develop GLP Investment and Employment Precinct

Latrobe City Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from businesses looking to lease or buy Lots 1 and 2 of the Gippsland Logistic Precinct (GLP) - Investment and Employment in Morwell.

Located on Tramway Road, the high-quality large-scale industrial land is appropriately zoned and fully serviced, with key infrastructure in place.

Currently owned by Council, the GLP Investment and Employment Precinct aims to attract investment and industry to Latrobe City.

The State Government provided $5 million in funding through a previous round of the Regional Jobs Infrastructure Fund towards the first stage of the Gippsland Logistics Precinct.

Council has secured $10 million in Federal funding to support Stage 2 of the precinct and will continue to develop the site to support the overall economic growth of the region.

Mayor of Latrobe City Cr Kellie O'Callaghan said the precinct presented a unique opportunity for businesses looking to establish or expand.

"The Gippsland Logistics Precinct is an ideal site for industrial businesses, immediately adjacent to the Gippsland Intermodal Freight Terminal between the Princes Freeway and Tramway Road.

"The connectivity of the site, as well as the supporting infrastructure and zoning, makes it an ideal investment opportunity," said the Mayor.
