Finnish 'Elements of AI' online course trains employees of European Union

An extremely successful online course that is open to all on the basics of artificial intelligence, developed by the technology company Reaktor and the University of Helsinki, has been selected to be part of the voluntary continuing education for officials working for the European Union.

The kick-off for the course was held at an event organised today, 18 September.

Artificial intelligence has the potential to provide solutions to a range of societal challenges, which is why its utilisation is an important focus area for the EU. Staff training is part of promoting the bloc's AI strategy.

In Finland, a number of government ministries, the Tax Administration and more than 250 other organisations and companies have offered the course to their staff.
