Free smartphone photography workshops

If you're aged 12-24 years and keen to learn how to take some great photos on your phone, here's your chance.

Kempsey Shire Council will be hosting Project Youth – a series of free smartphone photography workshops between 31 July to 20 August.

Local photographer Sharon Lamb of Scheherezade Photography will help participants unleash their smartphone camera's full potential with each workshop set to a different theme and a variety of locations in the Macleay.

The workshop themes and locations include;

Strike a Pose – learn how to take the best selfies ever. Sunday 31 July 10am-12pm at the Frederickton Hall

Flow – learn how to take deadly water shots. Sunday 7 August 10am-12pm at Back Creek, South West Rocks

Drift – Bring your smartphone and learn how to take wicked action shots at the pump track. Sunday 14 August from 10am-12pm at the West Kempsey Pump Track.

Light & dark – Bring your smartphone to capture your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Saturday 6, 13 and 20 August from 9:30am-11:30am at Kempsey Shire Library.
