Free vet service for cats and dogs in Kempsey in May

Pet owners can access free veterinarian support at Kempsey Showground this month to ensure the safety of animals in the shire.

Kempsey Shire Council is proud to partner with Animal Welfare League NSW to offer a Mobile Vet Service at the Kempsey Showground on Wednesday, 17 May 2023.

The clinic will be open from 9am to 1pm and can be accessed via Thompson Street, West Kempsey.

The Mobile Vet Service offers:

  • free health checks
  • dog C3 vaccinations
  • cat F3 vaccinations, and
  • microchipping services

Michael Jackson, Kempsey Shire Council Director Operations and Planning, said this initiative aims to provide affordable veterinary care to pets in the Shire at a difficult time.

"We are thrilled to bring the Mobile Vet Service to Kempsey," said Mr Jackson.

"This is a great opportunity for pet owners to receive free veterinary care for their pets, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this service."

The Mobile Vet Service is staffed by experienced veterinary professionals who will provide quality care and advice to pet owners.

This is a fantastic opportunity for pet owners in Kempsey Shire to take advantage of free veterinary care for their pets.

"We encourage everyone to bring their pets to the Kempsey Showground on Wednesday, 17 May 2023, to take advantage of this service," said Mr Jackson.

"Please note that cats must be in carriers and dogs must be on a leash, and a maximum of three animals per household can be accommodated."
