Adjusted methodology, twelve indicators

For the first edition of the QS World University Rankings Europe, the methodology for evaluating universities was further developed compared to the QS World University Rankings. The universities are evaluated on the basis of twelve instead of nine differently weighted indicators in the areas of research, teaching and internationality. These include academic reputation, reputation as an employer, teacher-student ratio, international research collaborations, citations per publication, publications per faculty, proportion of international students, proportion of international academics, alumni activity after graduation, sustainability, and incoming and outgoing student exchanges. The publication analyses are based on results from Elsevier's Scopus database. Further data are provided by the universities.
