- Three performances supported through the Regional Creative Industries Fund to tour Western Australia in 2027
- More than $420,000 in funding will support performances for regional and remote communities

Regional communities across Western Australia will receive greater access to a range of creative performances in 2027 with $424,315 in support from the Cook Labor Government through the Regional Creative Industries Fund (RCIF).
Three recipients will share in the funding to deliver their touring projects for regional audiences.
Nick Pages-Oliver and Scott McArdle have been awarded $149,971 for their comedy puppet musical, Same Time Next Week. The funding will support a five-venue, three-week regional tour in May 2027, including performances and community engagement activities in Broome, Karratha, Geraldton, Bunbury and Mandurah.
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre has been awarded $125,100 to take its production, Hometown, on a regional tour in 2027. The puppet musical for all ages is set in a dreamlike world of extraordinary creatures and awe-inspiring landscapes, created in partnership with renowned Western Australian artist Shaun Tan. The six-week tour will visit towns across the Goldfields-Esperance, Great Southern, South West and Pilbara regions.
The WA Symphony Orchestra (WASO) has been awarded $149,244 for its 2027 WASO Regional Touring Program, which will take three productions to Albany and Bunbury. Alongside the performances, WASO will deliver an education and community engagement program.
Western Australian performing artists and producers can apply for regional touring support through the next round of RCIF Regional Performing Arts which opens on 22 September 2026.
