General Officer Announcements 27 April

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Air Force Lt. Gen. Steven L. Basham for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy commander, U.S. European Command, Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany. Basham is currently serving as deputy commander, U.S. Air Forces Europe; and deputy commander, U.S. Air Forces Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Air Force Lt. Gen. Timothy D. Haugh for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Haugh is currently serving as commander, 16th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Caroline M. Miller for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy chief of staff, Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Miller is currently serving as commander, 502nd Air Base Wing and Joint Base San Antonio, Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
