Half-price Admission For Kids To Perth Royal Show

  • $2.2 million investment to reduce the cost for families attending the 2025 Perth Royal Show
  • Half-price admission for children under 16, students and concession card holders
  • Cook Government to provide $600,000 for a new grant program to bolster regional and smaller metropolitan agricultural shows

The Cook Labor Government is once again supporting Western Australian families to experience the excitement of the Perth Royal Show by providing half-price tickets for children, students and concession card holders.

A $2.8 million investment by the Cook Government will reduce the cost for families attending the show this year and provide $660,000 to support agricultural shows across WA.

Admission for children under 16 years, students and concession card holders will be discounted to half price when accompanying a paying adult this year. Entry for children under four is free.

The funding will also support the popular nightly fireworks spectacular and agriculture-themed drone show, with this year's evening entertainment set to be the biggest in the show's history.

It follows the popularity of last year's fireworks show which attracted up to 70,000 people each night.

A further $950,000 Lotterywest grant will support the show's volunteer program, inclusive ticketing initiatives, improve accessibility for people with a disability, strengthen cultural recognition at the show, and enhance popular family friendly attractions.

This year, the Cook Government has extended its funding package to support agricultural shows and events across the State through a new $600,000 WA Agricultural Show Grants Program.

Affiliated Agricultural Societies and organisations in regional and metropolitan WA can apply to receive $10,000 towards shows in 2026 to support their volunteers, showcase local food and agriculture, and deliver activities for visitors.

With more than 430,000 showgoers, the 2024 Perth Royal Show achieved its highest attendance since 2013.

Western Australia's biggest celebration of agriculture, food and entertainment will return from 27 September to 4 October with eight days of family fun on offer.

There will be a new Smart Farms AgTech discovery zone providing hands-on activities such as coding robots, extracting DNA, seed sorting and designing the farm of the future.

The wool fashion parade is back this year, highlighting the journey of wool from the farm to fashion.

Other free family favourites will return including livestock competitions, woodchopping, sheep shearing, and cooking demonstrations.
