The SA Police Road Safety Centre is once again offering a free road safety program for primary school-aged children during the April school holidays.
The school holiday program was held for the first in 2018 at the Road Safety Centre and proved very popular with spots filling quickly.
While South Australian children have the opportunity to visit the centre as part of a school excursion, not all schools participate in this program. The free holiday program provides an additional opportunity for children to gain vital road safety education.
Participants in the two-hour program will have a classroom session, followed by a practical session of bicycle riding on the mock roadway to put into practice their new knowledge.
All equipment is supplied and the Road Safety Centre has a range of bicycles to cater for all riders.
Three sessions, covering two age groups, are being offered at Thebarton Police Barracks, Port Road, Thebarton from 10.00 am to midday:
- Monday, 15 April for children 5 – 8 years
- Tuesday, 16 April for children 5 – 8 years
- Wednesday, 17 April for children 9 – 12 years
Spaces are limited. To make a booking please contact the Road Safety Section at [email protected] from 9am on Tuesday, 26 March. Please include following details in the email:
