Australind Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in the Leschenault Inlet last night, Saturday 13 January 2024.
About 7:40pm, police were called to the inlet after the man was located unresponsive in the water. It is believed the man was crabbing in the inlet at the time.
A member of the public recovered the man - who is aged in his 60s - from the water and commenced providing emergency first aid.
St John WA attended the scene, however the man could not be revived.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
