Lotterywest and Healthway CEO appointed

  • Ralph Addis appointed as chief executive officer of Lotterywest and Healthway
  • The appointment is to December 31, 2023
  • Premier Mark McGowan and Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson have congratulated Ralph Addis on his appointment as the new chief executive officer of Lotterywest and Healthway.  

    Mr Addis has been in the acting role since February 2022. This new appointment is through until December 31, 2023.

    Mr Addis has worked in the WA Public Sector since 2014 as Director General of the Department of Regional Development, and in 2017 became Director General of the newly formed Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

    Mr Addis previously worked in the Kimberley region for almost 20 years, including as the founding CEO of Wunan Foundation and Chair of the Kimberley Development Commission.

    He has longstanding involvements in regional and Aboriginal economic development, including innovation and reforms in commercial development, housing, education, and employment.

    Mr Addis holds qualifications in finance and economics and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    He officially commenced in the chief executive officer role on an interim basis on February 7, 2022.

    As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:

    "Since taking on the role of CEO of Lotterywest and Healthway in February, Mr Addis has shown strong leadership and vision. I congratulate him on this appointment.

    "I look forward continuing to work with Mr Addis to deliver benefits back to the WA community through the Lotterywest and Healthway grant programs."

    As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:

    "This is a very exciting time for Healthway and the experience and knowledge held by Mr Addis will be invaluable in leading both organisations as we continue to build a better and healthier WA."
