Gold Coast detectives have charged six people over the alleged discovery of illegal drugs and a firearm in Broadbeach Waters on Friday.
Around 7.30am police executed simultaneous search warrants at two houses in Savoy Drive where quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, GHB, restricted prescription drugs, cannabis and $2,590 in cash were seized.
A car arrived at the address during the search where it is alleged cocaine, MDMA, GHB, oxycodone, cannabis, a bolt action rifle, ammunition and $9,965 in cash were also located.
A 33-year-old Broadbeach Waters man has been charged with possess methamphetamine (excess schedule), possess cocaine, possess, MDMA, possess cannabis, possess, GHB, possess weapon (taser), possess property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence. He will face Southport Magistrates Court on December 19.
A 29-year-old man from Ballina whose vehicle was searched has been charged with possess category B weapon, possess dangerous drugs, possess utensil, authority to possess explosives (ammunition), possess suspected stolen property and possession of a knife in a public place. He will face Southport Magistrates Court on December 6.
A 25-year-old Broadbeach Waters woman has been charged with produce cannabis, possess cannabis, tainted and utensil. She is expected to face Southport Court in a fortnight.
A 31-year-old Broadbeach Waters woman has been charged with possess cannabis and possess utensil. She is due to face Southport Court on December 11.
A 31-year-old Merrimac man has been charged with possess dangerous drug and possess utensil. He is due to face Southport Court on January 20, 2020.
A 38-year-old Broadbeach man is also expected to face possess a dangerous drug and produce a dangerous drug charges.
