Man arrested for historical child sexual offences, WA

On Tuesday 2 May 2017, Child Abuse Squad detectives charged a 44 year old man as a result of ongoing investigations stemming from the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Sexual Offences.

It will be alleged between 1993 and 2013 the man indecently assaulted four boys who were aged between 14 and 16 years at the time of the first offence. The offences occurred in the suburbs of Mundaring and Chidlow, WA Police say.

During the above times the man was an active member of the Mundaring Jehovah Witness Congregation.

The man from Mundaring has been charged with:-

•Four counts of Unlawful and Indecent Assault; and

•One count of Indecently Deals with a Child over 13 and under 16 years of age.

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 23 May 2017.
