Man Charged Over Ocean Grove E-Bike, Scooter Thefts

Geelong Divisional Response Unit detectives have charged a man after a series of alleged electric bike and scooter thefts in Ocean Grove over the past two months.

Investigators had been told e-bikes and e-scooters were being stolen from caravan parks and public places in the Ocean Grove area throughout January and February.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives arrested a 26-year-old man of no fixed place of abode and a 26-year-old Clifton Springs woman.

The man was charged with 10 counts of theft and other associated offences.

He was remanded to face Geelong Magistrates' Court on 5 March.

The woman was released pending further enquiries.

Investigations into the incidents remain ongoing.
