A man has been charged with attempted murder after an inmate was allegedly assaulted in Lithgow last month.
Just after 2.30pm on Wednesday 23March 2016, a 33-year-old man was allegedly stabbed during an assault in a common room at Lithgow Correctional Centre.
yesterday, a 23-year-old man was taken to Lithgow Police Station and arrested by police. He was charged with attempted murder.
The man was refused bail to appear before Lithgow Local Court today (7 April 2016).
