An advert for a new fan tells the story of a young man who discovers the device in a shopping centre
A bizarre new advert has become an online smash after claiming to have fooled men into thinking they are fondling women's breasts when in fact they are groping thin air.
The questionable advertisement, released by manufacturer Singfun in China, claims that the new device can generate wind currents that are "as soft as boobs ".
The China Singfun Electric Group Co Ltd advert, which has been viewed more that 25 million times online, tells the story of a young man who discovers the fan in a shopping centre.
He is first invited to try out a virtual reality headset, after which he finds himself on a beach playing with beautiful women in bikinis.
In actual fact he is running around blindly inside the shop while the headset makers chase him around to get their device back.
The young man’s fantasies seemingly come to life however when he spots a beautiful model whose breasts he gets to fondle.
But when the camera cuts back to reality, and when the headset makers finally catch up with him, the young hero’s hands are in fact caressing the strong winds being generated by a Singfun electric fan - which had successfully fooled the man into believing he was handling a pair of breasts.
The fan producers boast that the amazing tactile sensation is produced by two sets of fan blades - one big and one small - which produce air currents that collide precisely 40 centimetres (16 inches) in front of the fan.
It is also at this distance that users may enjoy boob-like sensations.
At the end of the smart and funny advertisement, the young man has apparently bought a Singfun device home for himself, as well as a VR headset, and he begins to recreate his fantasies in the privacy of his own home.
