NASA has selected Engineering Research and Consulting of Huntsville, Alabama, to provide laboratory services in support of multiple customers and projects at the agencys Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Laboratory Support Services and Operations (LASSO) II is a fixed price, level of effort contract with a base period from Dec. 1, 2022, through Sept. 30, 2024, with three additional one-year options. The total value of the contract base plus option periods is approximately $145 million.
Under LASSO II, the contractor will operate and maintain a diverse set of laboratories, developmental shops and test facilities that will support programs and projects at the Florida spaceport, including Center Engineering, Safety, and Operations; Exploration Ground Systems; International Space Station; Launch Services Program; the Space Technology Mission Directorate; Science Mission Directorate; and the U.S. Space Force Space Launch Delta 45 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
