Nelson Police have now charged a person with assault following an incident in Motueka last week.
A 22-year-old man will appear in the Nelson District Court on Monday, July 12 charged with assault.
The alleged assault took place in the early hours of Sunday morning on July 4.
Enquiries are ongoing and further charges may be laid.
Police would like to thank the response from those members of the public who came forward with information to assist in the enquiry.
