A major new shared pathway and pedestrian infrastructure project began earlier this month in Jindabyne.
The significant Council investment will deliver a safer, better-connected route along Barry Way to connect students, families, and residents with the new Jindabyne Education Campus.

- New shared path on Barry Way
- Reedys Cutting Road pedestrian refuge and footpath connection
- Pedestrian refuge island between lanes on Barry Way
- Full concrete bus stop pads with wide path pavement
- Some excavation works required along Barry Way
- New shared path will replace the temporary path near the education campus
- Raised pedestrian crossing on Jillamatong Street designed and directed by NSW Department of Education already complete
Some temporary traffic control measures and pedestrian detours will be required at times during the project.
This project will deliver a safe active transport corridor between Jindabyne's residential and commercial centres and the education campus, helping to improve local road safety and providing better access to public transport for the whole community.
