Darwin City Council
Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis has welcomed Councillor Kim Farrar to the City of Darwin's team of elected members.
Ms Farrar was last night sworn in as a councillor for Waters Ward following her by-election win on 27 August.
Ms Farrar joins councillors Brian O'Gallagher and Sylvia Klonaris as a representative for Waters Ward.
"Kim is a born-and-bred Territorian who knows and understands the Darwin community," Mr Vatsakis said.
"I am sure she will make an outstanding representative for her community and will find her new role is a very rewarding one.
"She has found herself in a position which carries some real demands.
"But working to achieve positive outcomes for your community can bring with it a great deal of personal satisfaction."
