About 7.15am, police received a report that a woman working at an educational facility was approached by a man unknown to her on Newcastle Street.
It will be alleged the man unlawfully detained the woman and indecently assaulted her before leaving the area on foot.
City of Perth CCTV operators assisted police by monitoring the man's movements, enabling officers to locate and arrest him a short time later on Pier Street.
A 30-year-old Northbridge man has been charged with:
• 1 x Deprivation of Liberty
• 1 x Aggravated Burglary and Commit
• 1 x Unlawful and Indecent Assault
He appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court on 28 August 2026, where he was remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 11 September 2026.
