NSW man charged after drugs, money and guns allegedly located at search warrant

A man has been charged with alleged drug and firearm offences following a search warrant at Roseberry Creek, north of Casino, yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 8.30am yesterday, officers from Richmond Local Area executed a search warrant at a property at Roseberry Creek.

On entering the property, officers allegedly found approximately 50kg of cannabis leaf, 133 cannabis plants, MDMA (“ecstasy”), ammunition, four firearms and cash. All items were seized for forensic examination.

The cannabis has an estimated potential street value of $100,000.

A 58-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lismore Police Station.

He was charged with supply commercial quantity prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, cultivate prohibited plant, knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime, and possess unregistered firearm in circumstances of aggravation.

The man was refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court today.
