NSW Police Charge Suspect in Silverwater Road Rage Robbery

A man has been charged over an alleged road-rage incident at Silverwater earlier this week.

Police initiated inquiries after a 35-year-old man reported he'd been assaulted by another driver about

5.20pm last Monday (16 October 2023), on Silverwater Road.

Police will allege in court two drivers were exchanging details after a minor collision when one was punched several times, and his prescription spectacles stolen by the other driver.

Following inquiries by officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command, a 52-year-old man was yesterday (Wednesday 18 October 2023), arrested at Normanhurst.

He was taken to Hornsby Police Station where he was charged with robbery; the man has been granted

conditional bail to appear before Hornsby Local Court on 28 November 2023.

Inquiries are continuing.
