NT Police Arrest Suspect for Historic Child Sex Crimes

Northern Territory Police will extradite a man from Tasmania today in relation to alleged historic child sexual offences in the Northern Territory.

The 60-year-old man appeared in Hobart Magistrates Court yesterday, having been arrested in relation to the alleged offending committed in the Northern Territory during 1995 and 1996.

The man was remanded into the custody of detectives from the Northern Territory Police Child Abuse Taskforce to be extradited back to Darwin later tonight.

He is expected to appear in the Darwin Local Court tomorrow.
