Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on Karaka Road, Karaka.
The two-vehicle crash was reported to Police around 2.35pm.
At this stage at least one person is understood to have sustained serious injuries.
Karaka Road is closed between Blackridge and Oira roads and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
