NZ police search for Te Ariki Poulgrain continues

As stated by Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Anderson, Auckland City CIB

Police are continuing enquiries to locate Te Ariki Poulgrain, who escaped from Corrections custody in Grafton yesterday afternoon while attending a medical appointment.

Police have been making extensive enquiries to locate the 23-year-old, including conducting area enquiries, reviewing CCTV footage and using the Police Eagle Helicopter.

Police are now releasing a CCTV image of Poulgrain captured after his escape, and are appealing to the public for sightings of him.

The photo was captured on Park Road, Grafton at about 1:11pm yesterday.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, light coloured shorts and sneakers. He may also still be wearing a pair of handcuffs.

He is described as about 183cm tall and of thin build and is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

He has known links to the Killer Beez gang, as well as to the Auckland and Northland areas.
