Off-duty PSO caught drink driving

An off-duty Protective Services Officer has been detected allegedly drink driving in Melbourne West on 19 June.

The 22-year-old male PSO, from Transit and Public Safety Command, was intercepted on William Street just after 3am.

He tested positive to a preliminary breath test before undergoing an evidentiary test, where he returned an alleged reading of .066.

The PSO lost his licence for six months and has been issued with a $496 infringement notice for drink driving.

Professional Standards Command has been notified as per standard procedure.
