Opportune thief in Pascoe Vale South

Brunswick police are hoping to identify a man following the theft of a car in Pascoe Vale South last month.

Investigators have been told a man was warming his car up in the driveway of his Reynard Street residence about 10.30am on 22 May.

As the victim went inside to get something, a man walked past the vehicle.

The opportune thief returned to the Prado and drove off.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe can assist with their investigation.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, 20 to 30-years-old, with a slim build, a black beard and moustache.

The man was wearing a black cap, black sunglasses, a grey Adidas jumper, shorts and tan coloured work boots, and was carrying a black shoulder bag.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
