New members bring further health, legal, family support, child protection, healing, language and cultural knowledge to the network, reflecting the breadth of the community-controlled sector working to prevent family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV).

Launched in March 2026, Our Ways Strong Together is the national community-controlled peak body representing members delivering services across the family, domestic and sexual violence sector.

Now with a collective 74 member services nationally, CEO Olga Havnen AM said the new members strengthen a growing national network.

"Welcoming 19 more organisations in one round shows how strongly the sector wants a national voice that is community-controlled. Each member brings local knowledge and frontline experience, and that experience is what shapes the advice we take to governments."

Membership is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations (ACCOs) that provide family, domestic and sexual violence services or support, either as their primary purpose or as part of broader service delivery. Membership is free.
