Data users from across the commonwealth are set to gather at Penn State Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania State Data Center's annual Pennsylvania Data User Conference on June 4.
Each year, researchers, policymakers, planners, and data professionals from across Pennsylvania gather for the conference, which serves as the commonwealth's most comprehensive forum on demographic and socioeconomic data.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Capital Union Building on campus. Registration is required. Registration details and the full schedule, including speaker and session information, can be found on the conference website.
The conference seeks to educate attendees on the demographic and socioeconomic research and policies affecting Pennsylvania. Sessions span a wide range of topics including population trends, workforce analysis, rural Pennsylvania issues, community development, data visualization, and innovations in data technology.
The lunchtime keynote address titled "The Anchor Dashboard: Regional Economic Impacts of Eds and Meds" will be given by Deborah Diamond, senior director of engagement initiatives at Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
Throughout the day, participants will hear from practitioners who are using data to drive real world impact in their field. Sessions will highlight analytical approaches, practical applications, and strategic use of data that support stronger decision making across Pennsylvania.
