Residential aged care homes can express interest in receiving a free menu and mealtime review. The Menu and Mealtime Review program will deliver up to 300 reviews in the 2026-27 financial year for homes that have not previously received a review through the program.
The reviews will help homes to:
- improve the food and dining experience for residents
- meet the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, including Standard 6: Food and nutrition.
The program will prioritise:
- homes under the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program
- homes with a score lower than 3 on the Residents' Experience Survey question, 'Do you like the food here?'
- homes in small rural towns, remote communities, and very remote communities
- smaller homes (with 60 or less residents)
- small providers (1 to 2 services) and medium providers (3 to 10 services).
Expressions of interest close 21 September.
