Legendary music icon Paul Kelly is heading to Alice Springs this October to headline an exciting new event, The Warm-Up.

Kelly, who wowed the crowds at the Red Hot Summer Tour in Darwin in May, is keen to return to the Territory, and will rock the Red Centre at ANZAC Oval on 14 October, 2023.

His performance will complete a program of activity for The Warm-Up, which will celebrate one-year-out from the return of the 2024 Alice Springs Masters Games.

As well as a concert by Kelly, one of Australia's most popular musicians, attendees can watch or take part in The Red Centre Mile. The collaboration with the Alice Springs Running and Walking Club will be open to competitive and non-competitive runners.

The Warm-Up will give the Alice Springs community the chance to celebrate the region's love of music, sport and community spirit, and build excitement towards the return of the ASMG from 12-19 October, 2024.

The event will also mark the day registrations for ASMG 2024 open, and activities will include a hub for Red Centre sports clubs to promote their sport and engage with visitors.

The Warm-Up and the ASMG 2024 will be delivered by Northern Territory Major Events Company.
