A man has died in hospital following a crash in Wantirna South last month.
Investigators have been told a Toyota Yaris was headed east on Boronia Road about 6.50am on Wednesday 30 September.
The driver lost control of the car which left the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 46-year-old man from Ferntree Gully, was taken to hospital where he later died.
