Police arrest four after theft and evade in Dandenong South

Police have arrested four males following an alleged burglary and evade in Melbourne's south-east last night.

Police were called after the group attended at a retail store on Princes Highway, Dandenong South just after 10pm.

Although closed, the group entered the store and allegedly stole a number of power tools from before returning to an allegedly stolen red Toyota.

They drove off and were seen a short time later by police, who were patrolling the area, driving on Heatherton Road in Endeavour Hills.

The rear tyre of the vehicle had completely blown, and the vehicle was being driven on the rim.

Police monitored the vehicle from the air before it was sighted driving into Robinvale Court in Endeavour Hills a short time later.

The vehicle left the address some 10 minutes later and drove to an address in nearby Belinda Court where a male assisted the group in attempting to change the type on the car.

Police swooped in and arrested four of the males without incident.

A 17-year-old, two 18-year-olds, all from Dandenong North, along with a 19-year-old Endeavour Hills man, remain in custody.

Police located a number of power tools inside the vehicle, believed to have been those stolen earlier in the evening.
