Police arrest teen after Brighton assault

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a 15-year-old boy following an alleged serious assault in Brighton on 30 March.

Investigators executed a search warrant and arrested the teen at his Brighton home last night.

Police expect to charge the youths on summons with intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

The arrest follows a serious assault on Normanby Street on 30 March where a 64-year-old man was allegedly assaulted with an electric skateboard.

The Brighton man sustained significant injuries including a fractured eye socket causing him to lose part of his vision.
