Police arrest youth over Elizabeth South house fire, South Australia

Police have arrested a teenage boy following a fire at a vacant house at Elizabeth South last night.

Just before 8pm on Friday 29 May, police officers spotted smoke coming from the house in Richardson Road, Elizabeth South and tried to extinguish it while calling MFS crews for assistance.

MFS crews attended and extinguished the small fire in a bedroom.

There were no reports of injuries.

Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene.

North District police investigations led to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy from Elizabeth South, he was charged with arson and bailed to appear in the Elizabeth youth Court at later date.
