Police charge five after cocaine bust

Four men and a woman have been charged after police seized approximately 65 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $21,500.

Detectives from the Prahran Divisional Response Unit on Wednesday executed a series of search warrants at residential and commercial addresses in Carrum Downs, Windsor, Seaford, Melbourne, and St Kilda.

Items sized also included:

- Approximately $13,000 cash

- A small quantity of psilocybin mushroom

- A small quantity of cannabis

- A small quantity of prescription drugs

- A sword

- A silver mint cast bar with an approximate value of $2400; and

- Electronic devices including computers, hard drives, and mobile phones

A 27-year-old St Kilda man was charged with trafficking and possession of cocaine, possession of a prohibited weapon and dealing with the proceeds of crime. A 27-year-old Windsor man was charged with possession of cocaine and prescription medication.

Both men were bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 3 August.

A 27-year-old Windsor woman was charged with possession of cocaine and prescription medication. She has been released pending summons.

A 32-year-old Glen Huntly man was charged with possession of cannabis and a drug of dependence. He has been released pending summons.

A 20-year-old Glen Huntly man was charged with possession of a drug of dependence. He was bailed to appear before the Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on 24 May.
