Police charge four people after drugs and cash seized in Sydney's North Shore

Three men and a woman will face court charged following an investigation into the supply of illicit drugs on Sydney's North Shore.

In August 2020, detectives attached to North Shore Police Area Command established Strike Force Callide to investigate the supply of heroin and methylamphetamine.

As part of ongoing investigations, strike force investigators, assisted by officers from Northern Beaches and Ryde Police Area Commands as well as Northern Region, executed search warrants at six properties in Wollstonecraft, Epping and Kempsey from about 7.20am yesterday (Wednesday 7 October 2020).

During a search of four units in Wollstonecraft, police allegedly seized methylamphetamine and cannabis, along with cash, slingshots, property believed to be stolen and mobile phones.

At the Epping property, police allegedly seized, cannabis, methylamphetamine, fraudulent documents and cash.

At the Kempsey property, police allegedly seized cannabis, methylamphetamine and prescription medication, along with cash, mobile phones and electronic devices.

The seized items will be forensically examined.

Two men, aged 40 and 49, were arrested at Wollstonecraft and taken to Chatswood Police Station.

The younger man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis.

The older man was charged with supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.

Both were refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today (Thursday 8 October 2020).

A third man, aged 48, was arrested by detectives at a property in Artarmon about 10am. During a search of a vehicle at the address, police allegedly seized prescription medication and cash.

He was also taken to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with 8 offences including:

• Two counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis

• Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period

• Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance

• Deal with property proceeds of crime

• Two counts of possess prohibited drug

• Make/provide/possess false travel/identity document

The Epping man was refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court today (Thursday 8 October 2020).

A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the Kempsey property and taken to Kempsey Police Station.

She was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug – indictable, aupply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, two counts of possess prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime, and organises/conducts etc drug premises expose child.

The woman appeared at Kempsey Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 7 October 2020) and was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 16 December 2020.

Strike Force Callide is part of a strategic operation in the northern suburbs to dismantle criminal networks involved in the supply of prohibited drugs in our community.

Investigations under Strike Force Callide are continuing.
