Police charge man after investigation into break and enter at Oxley

A man will face court next month following an investigation into an alleged break and enter on a property in the state's northeast.

Between 4pm on Monday 23 November 2020 and 3pm on Wednesday 2 December 2020, a property on Moore Creek Road, Moore Creek was broken into and several farming items including a Polaris 4WD side-by-side buggy with a spray rig attached was allegedly stolen.

Following inquiries, detectives attached to Oxley Police District searched a home just after 3pm on Wednesday 2 December 2020 on Kirkham Crescent, Oxley Vale.

Officers located and seized the Polaris 4WD side-by-side buggy.

Following further inquiries, detectives arrested a 40-year-old man at a home on Mountview Crescent, Oxley Vale.

He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with break and enter house steal, dispose property-theft serious indictable offence, and goods suspected stolen in custody of other.

He was given conditional bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Monday 11 January 2020.

Inquiries are continuing.
