Police charge man after Noble Park fatal hit-run

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 32-year-old man following an alleged hit-run in Noble Park North last month.

A motorist noticed a person laying in the middle of the Princess Highway just after 8pm on 3 June.

Emergency services attended the scene and a 35-year-old Noble Park man was transported to hospital in a critical condition but later died.

Detectives today arrested and charged the Wantirna man with dangerous driving causing death, fail to remain at the scene of an accident, fail to render assistance, drive while disqualified and theft of motor vehicle.

The man was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 15 September.
