Police charge man after road rage stabbing at Homebush

A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man during a road rage incident in Sydney's west earlier this month.

About 8pm on Friday 9 September 2022, emergency services attended Parramatta Road, Homebush following reports that a motorist had been stabbed.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 36-year-old male driver of a white Mazda 3 for stab wounds. He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition where he underwent surgery and has since been released.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was forensically examined and commenced and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

About 9.30am today (Saturday 17 September 2022), detectives from the Auburn Police Area Command attended a house in Tantangara Place at Woodcroft and arrested a 28-year-old man.

He was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 18 September 2022).
