Police charge man over sexual touching - Hume

A man has been charged over the alleged sexual touching of teenagers at a business in the state's Southern Highlands.

Last month, detectives attached to The Hume Police District commenced an investigation after reports a 17-year-old boy had been sexually touched while working at a restaurant on Boolwey Street, Bowral.

As part of the investigation, investigators also spoke with two further employees, two boys aged 17 and 19.

Following inquiries, detectives attended the restaurant just after midday on Tuesday (30 August 2022), and arrested a 54-year-old man.

He was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where he was charged with one count of assault with act of indecency, and eight counts of aggravated - sexually touch another person.

The man appeared in Picton Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 31 August 2022), where he was granted conditional bail to appear in Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 11 October 2022.
