A man has been charged with allegedly supplying drugs in the state's north.
About 9.30am yesterday (Tuesday 28 July 2026), officers attached to New England Police District – with assistance from the Dog Unit – executed two search warrants at homes on Fernhill Road, Inverell, and Aberdeen Road, Stanborough.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized 200g of cannabis and more than $10,000 cash.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the Fernhill Road home before he was taken to Inverell Police Station, where he was charged with:
- Supply prohibited drug less than small quantity (12 counts)
- Supply prohibited drug more than small and less than indictable quantity
- Possess prohibited drug
- Deal with property proceeds of crime, and
- Holder of category A or B licence not have approved storage
The man was granted conditional bail to appear before Inverell Local Court on Thursday 27 August 2026.
Police will allege in court the man supplied drugs on multiple occasions between March and May 2026.
