Police charge three teens after evade and collision in Abbotsford

Police have charged three teenagers and an adult following an incident in Abbotsford on Friday 28 May.

Police will allege the group were in a stolen black 2013 Holden ute, when they were observed by police on Studley Street, Abbotsford about 8am.

The three teenage boys and woman evaded police before colliding with a vehicle and a tram at the intersection of Hoddle and Victoria Street, Richmond.

The vehicle continued through Richmond, East Melbourne and Hawthorn before it was dumped at a service station near Earl Street, Kew where it caught alight.

The four were arrested nearby a short time later.

It's understood the vehicle was stolen from a residence on Satellite Drive, Werribee on 27 May between 2am and 5am.

They have each been charged with theft of motor vehicle and fail to stop after an accident.

The three boys, a 14-year-old from Tarneit, 15-year-old from Werribee and 17-year-old from Northcote will appear at a children's court at a later date.

A 19-year-old woman from Ardeer was remanded in custody and plead guilty to theft of motor vehicle on Monday, 31 May.
