Police investigate armed robbery at Canley Vale

A crime scene has been established after an armed robbery at Canley Vale.

About 4.35am (Sunday 30 June 2019), officers were called to the licenced premises on Canley Vale Road, after two men armed with a knife entered the location and threatened staff.

They stole a sum of cash and were last fleeing on foot from the rear of the rear of the property towards Freeman Avenue.

No staff members were injured.

A crime scene has been established which will be examined by forensic specialists.

Detectives from Fairfield City Police Area Command continue with inquiries into the incident.
